Why do my arms and legs itch?

at random moments everyday, I itch on my arms and legs, it feel like being pricked by pins and needles and I've tried everything, the lotion, bathing,medicated lotion, medicated itch gel, ignoring it, and getting myself checked by an allergist, nothing seems to be helping. I tend to scratch until I bleed and then more. Can anyone help?
