My uncle is in the ICU?

at birmingham VA being treated for Septic Shock, he had infection around his lungs, had a UTI, and had a infected cyst on his bladder that pushed up against his spine to where he couldn't walk because his legs were numb...he is now on antibiotics, but he is talking out of his head and breathing funny. He had to have blood and today he had a scope ran down to see if he had infection around his heart...is there a possibility he could die?
